Tegan’s Pre-Birthday Party

Tegan’s Pre-Birthday Party

Because we are going to be in Texas for Tegan’s birthday this year (without Jeff), we had a little informal pre-birthday party with our friends, the Cookeys.  Tegan got a little gift from them and her gifts from us, and got to have a little celebration with her Daddy.

Potty Training Progress

Potty Training Progress

Tegan has officially been potty training for 9 days and is doing so great!  She hasn’t had any accidents since the first day or two, has even used a toilet at a store, and is doing all of her “bathroom business” on the potty.  She gets to wear panties at home, diapers for sleeping, and Pull-Ups when we are out & about, just in case!  We’re starting to make the transition from the stand-alone potty training chair to the actual toilet now, which may take some time.  We are so proud of our almost 3 year old!

Yippee, Another Snow Day!

Yippee, Another Snow Day!

Tegan & I woke up from a nap today to the results of a freak thunder-snow-storm.  There was about 2 inches on the ground, that apparently fell within an hour.  It was a fun surprise and we just had to get outside to play in it.

Not exactly thought of as a Winter activity, but she wanted to blow bubbles!

Her white mouse had to come out to play with her.  Do you see it?

Ringing in the New Year!

Ringing in the New Year!

My sweet friend Amanda invited Tegan & me over for New Year’s Eve.  She cooked a full dinner with yummy veggies then we played games as we waited for the clock to strike 12.  Tegan stayed up the whole time, playing, watching movies, and trying to bust her way into the grown-ups’ games (Bananagrams & Phase 10).

Bacon wrapped green beans & sausage stuffed mushrooms, SO good I could have eaten both full pans!

Burning stuff with Mr. Kevin.

Posing in her get-up that she wore to go outside to build a fire.

Looking a little sleepy, waiting for 2012!  This was at about 10:30pm, and she did make it to celebrate the New Year.  Once I got her home and in bed at about 12:30 she fell asleep really fast, as you can imagine.

Potty Training- Day 3

Potty Training- Day 3

Tegan has done such a great job potty training!  Today is Day 3 of our adventure and she is doing great, even got to wear panties during her waking hours.  She added being able to get her #2 into the potty today, which is a huge accomplishment.  She only used a diaper once after her nap.  We haven’t left the house much the last three days, so getting out and about tomorrow may be a bit tricky, and hopefully won’t hinder her progress.

First Time for Oreos?

First Time for Oreos?

Tegan got a special treat of 2 Oreos for going potty so well today.  She requested milk to dip them in and everything.  I asked her if it was her first time to ever have Oreos and she said yes.  I’m pretty sure she’s right, but I don’t know how she knew to dunk them!

Thoroughly enjoying herself!

Snowman!

Snowman!

When Tegan got up from her nap she wanted to go play in the snow.  She started playing in the snow and then I told her about snow angels, so she made a couple of those.  Of course she wanted to build a snowman.  After we had him built we ran in to get ingredients for his face.  We got a carrot for his nose, Dove chocolates for his eyes & raisins for his mouth.  Boudreaux thought that they were treats for him so they didn’t last long.  I pulled the carrot and then a chocolate out of his mouth!  He pretty much demolished half of the snowman’s face digging for food.  I guess Tegan decided since Boudreaux was eating the snowman she should too so she grabbed some of his snow. We had a fun time even though it was dark!

Snow & The Lion King

Snow & The Lion King

I loved waking up to snow this morning and the peacefulness of the snow falling outside my kitchen window.

My sweet Tegan is always up to something!

She told me she was the Lion King (we read the story last night).

She propped her chair up (with the base of her potty) so it would be a recliner!
