New Discoveries February 4, 2010
Tegan has been getting into things for a while, but lately has really taken to figuring out how things work. She LOVES our iPod touch ( & the elephant song app), opening & emptying cabinets, and turning on & off lights. I taught her how to turn the lamp in our guest room off & on this week (the kind with the clicker on the cord) and she thought she was the coolest thing ever.
Oh, and she’s also discovered her belly button. Since she’s been born, basically, she’s always worn a onesie and her tummy hasn’t been accessible. She’s gotten a few “big girl” shirts that aren’t onesies as she’s grown and has been quite intrigued by her belly & belly button.
Our new Addition & Tegan’s new move February 3, 2010
We got a German bench & table set off of EBay for our eat-in kitchen/breakfast area. We have been looking for a while and were quite happy to have won this auction. Jeff was able to have some great time with two high school guys that went with him on the 2+ hour each-way journey to pick everything up. We love having an eating space in our actual kitchen and love the old style of the furniture and upholstery.
On another note, Tegan has been doing this move lately that just completely cracks us up. It means, ‘I want that, please give it to me’ or ‘pick me up, you know you want to because I’m so cute’! It took several attempts to catch it in a picture but we finally captured it! You can see it below.. her wrists nearly together & her hands turned up.
And, finally at the bottom, Tegan hanging out with her good old pal.. her mirror image.
In Case you are Curious.. An Inside peek February 3, 2010
Here are a few pictures of our apartment to give you an idea of where & how we live! We have some loaner furniture since ours is in storage in Dallas. We are so thankful to have what we do!

Snow Snow & More Snow! February 1, 2010
Here are a few comparison shots of our view as we’ve been showered with more snow than this area has seen in a very long time. It’s beautiful.. almost magical for these Southerners! We love it!
